Janet Diane

Today is my sister Janet's 32nd birthday and I wanted to give her a shout out. She's always been a really great sister and an amazing example.

One of my favorite things about Janet is her ability to be a friend. If you're one of the lucky people who become friends with her, you know that you have a friend for life. She has this great ability to make you feel like you are so special through a gift or call or whatever it may be, and she'll always stay in touch with you. Obviously I'm her sister so she's gonna keep me around, but I've watched and admired this talent in her since my brother Ryan pointed it out to me when I was in high-school.

If you don't know janet, you can see her blog here. She's a great mom and I'm pretty dang lucky to be in her fam. Jan, you'll always be my favorite sister :) Hope your birthday was incredible and you got spoiled rotten!

Love, Wend

18 whole months

Cecily was 18 months as of April 9th. I took her to the Doc today for her checkup and got her stats....
Height: 34 inches, 95th percentile
Weight: 24 pounds, 50th percentile
Head Size: 95th percentile
So, she's long, semi-lean, and has a big noggin (thanks to her Vincent genes.....). We sure like her a lot and have decided to keep her.

So Much Has Happened...................

The past few weeks have been filled with lots of happenings. Some sad, most happy. A few weeks ago, Mike's cousin Misty passed away after a long fight with cancer. I only knew her briefly, but she was kind and a really great mom. I remember 2 summers ago when we went camping at the beach, Misty's daughter Paris was helping me cook dinner one night. She cracked an egg with one hand and looked up at me (so proud of herself) and said "yeah, my mom taught me how to do that." It was so cute and showed me just what kind of a hands on, great mom Paris had. We will miss her, but we know that she is not in pain any more, and in loving arms. This is Misty with her niece, Ashlynn.

Rachel and Brielle also came to visit and got to stay with us for almost a whole WEEK! It was awesome! We had tons of fun going to temple square (we only live a few blocks away), the church museum, out to lunch with Mike, and to the Zoo. It was amazing to have a buddy for me to hang out with during the day, and we wish they lived closer! Good thing they're coming again next week. How lucky are we?Brielle's first experience with Black Beans.....at our house!...mmmmmm.

Then, last Thursday night we packed up the car and drove to good ole Montana for Easter weekend. Quick trip, but lots of fun. We colored real eggs and also filled plastic ones with candy and CJ got to have an easter egg hunt with her cousins today. I'm sad (and happy) to be heading home to Salt Lake tomorrow. Although, Montana will always feel like my real home. Cecily at my parents houseCecily and Dad at Staggering Ox in Helena for lunchEaster Eggs!
